Le Refuge d’Ernest is our winter seasonal candle scent inspired by a quiet cabin nestled in the Swiss Alps. It pays tribute to Marie’s great-great-great grandfather, Ernest Solvay — a Belgian scientist and mountaineer who commissioned a solitary alpine shelter near the peak of the Matterhorn in 1915, designed to protect climbers from sudden storms. This scent captures that moment of pause before ascent: the comfort of crackling wood, smoky cedar, and resinous warmth as you gather by the fire, surrounded by stillness and snow. A grounding ritual of safety, strength, and solitude.
